Plans fall into place

I am scheduled to go on a super-quick weekend trip to NYC towards the end of this month. One of my best friends from college is getting married. I wasn’t planning on being able to make the trip, both money and time are tight, but I had a last minute change of heart/mind and decided I would go after all. I can only sneak away from the lab for one day, so I’ll be taking my trip on a friday through sunday, not much time considering it takes essentially a day each way to travel to the east coast. Anyway, I will arrive in Newark on a friday at 5:24 pm. I just got a call from Jaim, a friend from college who now lives in Philli. I conned him into going to the wedding with me since he was also friends with the bride in college and we had alot of good times together. Jaim called to ask if I wanted to go to a baseball game friday night in NYC with Dave. Dave is also a freind from college. Him, Jaim, and I actually met at one of the pre-college weekend orientations and have been friends ever since. I haven’t seen Dave for at least 5 or 6 years, he lives in Chicago. The last time I saw Jaim was in Tahoe 3 or 4 years ago when we met up to go skiing. I think the last time all three of us hung out was actually in 2003 when Dave and Jaim came out and stayed with me for a ski vacation in Salt Lake. I’m pretty excited that we’ll all be able to get together again in just a few weeks. Those guys really helped keep me sane back in school. We all suffered through those engineering classes (and dorm food) together. Jaim and I even jumped out of a plane together. So it looks like this short little trip will be packed good times and good friends from afar. I’m looking forward to it!
